About Me...

I’m Jennifer Romeo
and this is my story.

Born the youngest girl in a traditional Italian American family of 5, I grew up in the 70’s in Youngstown Ohio, in an area fondly called “Little Italy”. I was blessed to be raised in a traditional Catholic household and experience 12 years of Catholic schooling that provided me the base for my spiritual walk.

I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in Social Work, which led me to becoming a Licensed Social Worker. For the last 24 years, I’ve provided counseling, guidance and support in a variety of settings including private and public sectors with the bulk of my career in the healthcare industry. Several years later, I obtained my master’s degree in business administration from University of Pittsburgh.

I’ve always been interested in alternative healing and the mind, body, connection. In 2013, I began my spiritual journey, which led me to an ancient healing art of “laying on a hands”. After much research, I decided to study traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki founded by Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually spiritually guided life force energy. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. An imbalance of Ki can cause stress, illness and an overall unbalanced life.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive, learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from a Higher Power, Source, the Universe, many people find that receiving and learning Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their own religion or belief systems.

In 2017 I began my studies of traditional Usui Reiki. An amazing art to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during attunements given by a Reiki Master Teacher and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of life force energy, Ki, to improve one’s health and enhance quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one’s intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone.

Over the last several years, I’ve completed Usui Level 1 Reiki, Usui Level 2 Reiki, Animal Reiki, Reiki Internship, Usui Master Level and on October 27, 2019, I was bestowed with the highest honor, Reiki Master Teacher.

I’ve also been blessed to obtain certifications in Magnified Healing, Crystal Healing, Sound Healing, Emotional Freedom Technique and Aromatherapy. In conjunction with my spiritual walk and ministry studies, I became an Ordained Minister.

While studying Usui Reiki my spiritual gifts came “online”.  During my Reiki attunements, several of my extrasensory perceptions were activated to varying degrees, to include clairvoyance, the gift of clear seeing; clairaudience, the gift of inner hearing; claircognizance, the gift of inner knowing; clairsentience, the gift of feeling; and mediumship, the ability to sense, perceive, channel and communicate with the spirit world. All humans are born with and have access to these gifts, it’s just a matter of activation.

The unique combination of my education and spiritual gifts led me to opening White Light Wishes. A full service energetic healing studio providing integrative therapies and education designed to nourish the mind, body, and spirit. A space to go inward, to heal, reclaim your truth and ascend.

I am humbled to be a part of your journey. Namaste.

The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth.
